OGUN

Ogun - is the god of iron, war, and patron of hunters and blacksmiths

Ogun is also referred to as the god of creation as it was him who created the chain Obatala made use off to come down to the earth. After the earth's creation Ogun became the first Orisha to establish a kingdom and cleared path with his iron tools for other Orishas to establish their own kingdoms

The unique function of Ogun is to remove all obstacle that stands in the way of spiritual growth, in order to do this Ogun must sacrifice all that stands in the way of spiritual evolution. Because of this sacred sacred responsibility, Ogun is considered the guardian of the truth

There are those who say he killed himself with his own sword after wiping out his subjects who stood up against him but according to some accounts he reappeared in Ire and was made king there
